Navigating the Docs
Overview on how to use this documentation site.
The documentation is designed so you can quickly switch between major areas, drill into folders, and jump to the exact page you need.
The navigation panel
The navigation panel on the left is where you’ll do most of your browsing. On mobile it can be brought into view using the panel icon at the top right corner.
-
Choose a category (top dropdown) At the very top of the navigation panel there’s a dropdown with three main categories:
- General: core concepts, everyday tasks, and common system functions relevant to all user roles.
- Module Guides: step-by-step guides for specific modules
- Admin: configuration, permissions, and admin-only tasks
-
Browse folders and pages (within the selected category) Under the dropdown you’ll see the pages for the selected category, organised into folders.
- Expand a folder to see what’s inside
- Select a page to read it
- Use folder names to narrow down quickly as you explore
Search
The search bar queries across all documentation:
-
Keyword search (instant results)
Type a short phrase (e.g.timesheets,approvals,purchase orders) to see immediate matches and jump straight to the most relevant page. Hit enter to go to the top result, or use keyboard arrows to choose a different page, or just click. -
Complex queries (synthesised answers)
You can also type a longer, more specific question (e.g. “How do I set up approvals for purchase orders?”) to get a synthesised answer based on the docs, with links back to the source pages.
Quick links + theme
At the bottom of the navigation panel you’ll find:
- Quick links to Release notes and FAQs
- A dark/light mode toggle so you can switch themes anytime
Custom user manuals
Particularly if you are on the Custom subscription tier, your system modules may substantially differ from the standard modules described in these help documents. In any event, you may also have specific organisational guidelines on top of the in-built workflow controls, which you may want reflected in your own copy of a module user manual.
To support this, each documentation page has a Save as .docx button near the top, which will download a Word document version of the collection of pages you are browsing. You will then be able to modify and distribute this document internally.
For automated assistance, you may use the intelligent answer engine (Ctrl + K) and provide a detailed description of the content you want included and any modifications you require over the standard module descriptions. The synthesised output can then also be downloaded as a Word document.
For fully bespoke manuals exactly matching your specific module configurations, you may also request this to be created for you as a quoted service by contacting support if the above options are not suitable.
Where to start
Pick a category from the dropdown, then expand folders until you find the topic you need. If you’re not sure where something lives, use search to jump directly to it.
