Logging Site Trades and Labour Numbers
How to record the number of employees and contractors for specific trades within a Diary entry.
Purpose
The 'Site Trades and Labour Numbers' section within a Diary entry allows you to maintain a log of the workforce composition on site for specific trades (e.g., electricians, carpenters, operators) on a given day or for the duration of an event.
Adding a Trade/Labour Record
- Within an active Diary entry, find the 'Site Trades and Labour Numbers' section.
- Click the Add New button (or similar). This will open a separate form.
- On the 'Site Trades and Labour Numbers' form:
- Select the Trade from the provided list. If your required trade is not listed, consult your system administrator about adding new options.
- Enter the number of direct Employees for that trade.
- Enter the number of Contractors for that trade.
- Click Submit (or 'Save'/'OK') on this sub-form. The information will be saved and listed within the 'Site Trades and Labour Numbers' section of the main Diary entry. You can add multiple trade records to a single diary entry.
Viewing and Managing Records
- Added records appear in a list, typically showing the Trade, and the count of Employees and Contractors.
- To edit an existing record, you can usually double-click it or select it and use an 'Edit' function. This will reopen the sub-form for changes.
- To remove a record entered in error, look for a 'Remove' or 'Delete' option next to the item in the list.
The 'Hierarchy' (e.g., Site) for these labour records is usually determined by the main Diary entry.
