Injury Management Module Overview
Introduction to the Injury Management module for creating, storing, and tracking injury reports and workers' compensation information.
Injury Management Module Overview
The Injury Management module helps you create, store, track, and manage injury reports and workers' compensation information. It can integrate with incident reports from the Incident Reporting module and links with the Actions Management module for tracking corrective actions.
Key Functions
- Log Injuries: Record comprehensive details, including classifications (e.g., First Aid, Medical Treatment, Lost Time), nature of injury, and mechanism.
- Manage Cases: Use 'Episode of Care' (EOC) records for ongoing management of an injury, including liability, medical certificates, return to work plans, costs, and case notes.
- Track Progress: Workflows guide reports through different statuses (e.g., Draft, Open, Closed), often triggering notifications. (See 'Submitting Forms' in General Features for more on workflows).
- Centralize Documents: Attach relevant files like medical certificates or claim forms. (General file attachment is covered in 'Adding Attachments' in General Features. For categorized attachments with specific details, see this module's 'Managing Injury Report Attachments' guide).
- Ensure Correct Assignment: Confirm the hierarchy (e.g., Company, Site) is correctly set for proper record access and reporting. (See 'Understanding Hierarchy' in General Features).
Main Forms in this Module
- Injury Report: For initial logging of all injury details.
- Episode of Care (EOC): For detailed ongoing case management.
- Certificates: To record medical certificate details.
- Return To Work (RTW) Plan: To document and manage an employee's return to work.
- Attachment (Injury Management specific): A specialized form for categorizing and adding descriptive details to attachments.
Standard system features like searching, saving views, and exporting data are available. (Refer to 'General Features' documentation for these topics).
