Completing and Editing Forms in the Mobile App

Guide on filling out, submitting, and editing records using forms within the myosh mobile app.

Completing a New Form

When creating a new record (via Create New, Frequently Used, or Modules > Create New), you will be presented with the form for that module.

Hierarchy

Complete or change the Hierarchy selection (Company, Business Unit, Department, etc.) as applicable. This often defaults based on your user profile.

Navigating Sections (Go To)

Forms are often divided into sections. You can navigate between sections using the 'Next' and 'Previous' buttons at the bottom.

Alternatively, use the 'Go to: [Section Name] ([X]/[Y])' button at the top. This opens a menu allowing you to jump directly to any section (e.g., Hierarchy, Action Details, Attachments). The currently selected section is marked.

Mandatory Fields

Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. The app will highlight any mandatory fields that haven't been completed if you attempt to submit the form, often displaying a message like 'This field is required'.

Form Submission Options (Bottom Buttons)

  • Exit: Discards the record without saving. A confirmation pop-up will appear.

  • Save and Continue: Saves the record in its current status (e.g., Draft) without submitting it. Allows you to continue editing later.

  • Finish / Submit: Completes the form and submits it to the next step in the workflow (e.g., changes status from Draft to Open). This usually triggers notifications. Requires all mandatory fields to be filled.

Editing an Existing Record

  1. Open the record you need to update (e.g., from My Activities or the Modules list).

  2. Select the 'Edit' button (often located in the bottom right corner).

  3. Make the necessary changes using the form navigation ('Go To', 'Next', 'Previous').

  4. Select 'Save and Continue' or 'Submit' (or other workflow buttons like 'Complete') as appropriate.

Auto-save

If you edited a record, it will be saved whenever you navigated to the other section. If the app has connected to the Internet, the change will be also synced to the server.
