How do I filter widgets?
Dashboard widgets can be filtered using the Filter button, which is represented by a funnel icon. This button is visible at the top right of each widget when the dashboard tab is in 'Edit' mode. 1
Administrators can configure which filtering options are available for a specific widget using the Widget Wizard. There are two types of filter configurations an administrator can set:
- Custom Filter: This makes specific fields available for users to apply under the widget's filter icon. An administrator can select up to six fields to be available for custom filtering.
- Global Filter: This permanently restricts the data displayed in a widget, regardless of any dashboard-level filters. For example, a widget can be configured with a global filter to only ever show data for a specific site. 2
