Using the Dashboard Widget Wizard
Provides instructions on how to create, edit, and delete custom widgets using the Dashboard Widget Wizard tool.
The Widget Wizard allows users with appropriate permissions (typically Admins or Layout Admins) to create new custom widgets, modify existing custom widgets, or permanently delete them from the Widget Library.
Accessing the Widget Wizard

Enter 'Edit' mode on the Dashboard.

Click the 'Add a widget...' dropdown list at the bottom.

Scroll to the bottom and select '<Manage Widgets>' (or type '<' as a shortcut).
Creating a New Widget

In the Widget Wizard popup, ensure 'Create a widget' is selected.

Click 'Next'.

Widget Details:
- Enter a 'Title' for the widget.
- Select the 'Widget Type' (e.g., Side By Side Column, Bar, Pie).
- Choose the 'Module' (e.g., Training Management).
- Select the 'Form' (usually auto-selected).
- Choose the primary field to 'Generate data series from' (e.g., Training Name).
- Optionally, for stacked charts, choose a second field to 'Generate multi-series (stacked) using' (e.g., Site).

Click 'Next'.

Filter Configuration (Optional): - Custom Filter: Select fields (max 6 total custom/global) to make available under the widget's filter icon (Funnel). - Global Filter: Select a field (e.g., Site) and specific values to permanently restrict the data displayed in this widget, regardless of dashboard filters.

Click 'Next'.

Widget Configuration: Set display options like 'Show all/top 5/10/30', enable/disable custom sorting, customize labels/colors, hide 'none' values, toggle legend visibility (options vary by widget type). See 'Managing Dashboard Widgets' for common configuration details.

Click 'Finish'. The new widget is now available in the Widget Library and can be added to a tab.
Editing an Existing Widget

Access the Widget Wizard.

Select 'Edit an existing widget'.

Choose the widget you want to edit from the 'Choose chart' dropdown.

Click 'Next'.

Navigate through the 'Widget Details', 'Filter Configuration', and 'Widget Configuration' steps, making changes as needed (e.g., change the Widget Type, update filters, adjust display options).

Click 'Finish' to save the changes to the widget definition.
Deleting a Widget

Access the Widget Wizard.

Select 'Delete a widget'.

Choose the widget you want to permanently delete from the 'Choose chart' dropdown.

Click 'Finish'.

A confirmation prompt will appear. Select 'Yes' to confirm the permanent deletion.

Warning: This action cannot be undone and removes the widget from the entire Widget Library, not just from a specific tab.
