How do you delete a widget from the dashboard?

There are two ways to remove a widget, depending on whether the goal is to remove it from a specific dashboard tab or to permanently delete it from the system's Widget Library.

Removing a Widget from a Dashboard Tab

This action removes the widget from the current tab but does not delete it from the Widget Library, allowing it to be added back later.

1. Enter 'Edit' mode on the dashboard.
2. On the widget you wish to remove, click the Settings button (gear icon).
3. Select 'Delete'.

Permanently Deleting a Widget from the Widget Library

This action is for users with appropriate permissions (typically Admins or Layout Admins) and permanently removes the widget from the system. This cannot be undone.

1. Enter 'Edit' mode on the Dashboard.
2. Click the 'Add a widget...' dropdown list and select '<Manage Widgets>' to open the Widget Wizard.
3. Select 'Delete a widget'.
4. Choose the widget you want to permanently delete from the 'Choose chart' dropdown.
5. Click 'Finish'.
