Text Fields (Single Line)

How Administrators add single-line free text input fields to forms using the Form Editor.

The Text – Single Line tool allows users to input short free text. It can be set as mandatory, contain default text, and include field help.

Steps to Add a Single Line Text Field

  1. Open the form in the Form Editor.

  2. Drag the 'Text - Single Line' button to the desired location.

  3. Enter the 'Name' (label) for the field.

  4. Optionally, select 'Add Field help' to provide guidance.

  5. Optionally, enter any 'Default Values' to pre-populate the field.

  6. Select 'Yes' or 'No' for 'Mandatory'.

  7. Select 'Ok'.

  8. Select 'Save' at the bottom of the Form Definition page.
