Dashboard Filters
Explains the different types of filters available on the myosh Dashboard: global (Date, Hierarchy) and widget-specific (Modular).
Global Filters
Global filters apply to all charts and widgets across all tabs on your dashboard. They are typically located at the top of the dashboard.
Date Range Filter
-
Use the 'Quick Date Range' dropdown to select predefined periods (e.g., Last 12 months, Current Year, Previous Fiscal Year, Last 30 days).
-
Alternatively, use the 'From' and 'To' calendar icons to select specific start and end dates.
-
Date range selections are not remembered when you log out.
Hierarchy Filter
-
Click the 'Hierarchy' dropdown (often showing 'All' by default).
-
Select specific levels like Company, Division, Department, or Site to filter the data shown.
-
Use the arrow buttons (>>) to move selections into the filter criteria.
-
Select 'Save' to apply the filter.
-
Hierarchy filter selections are remembered the next time you log in.
Widget-Specific Filters (Modular Filters)
Individual widgets can have their own custom filters that apply only to that specific widget. These allow for more granular control over the data displayed within a single chart or table.
-
Accessing Widget Filters: Enter 'Edit' mode on the dashboard. A funnel icon (T) will appear at the top right of widgets that have custom filters available.
-
Applying Filters: Click the funnel icon. Select the desired filter fields (e.g., Status, Incident Category, Classification) and use the arrow buttons (>>) to apply values. Select 'Save'.
-
Examples: Filter an 'Incidents by Classification' widget to show only 'Open' incidents, or filter by specific 'Actual Incident Categories'.
-
Persistence: These widget-specific filter settings are remembered the next time you log in.
-
Resetting: To remove widget-specific filters, click the funnel icon and select 'Reset', then 'Save'.
-
Availability: Custom filter fields are unique to each widget and configured by administrators based on customer requirements.
Clearing All Filters
A 'Clear Filters Button' (if available, often near the global filters) will remove all Global and Widget-Specific filters applied across all tabs.
