Logging a Drill Occurrence (Drill History)

How to record an instance of a drill being performed by creating a 'Drill History' log.

Creating a "Drill History" Log

Log each instance of a planned drill to maintain a record of its execution.

  1. Open the relevant "Drills & Exercises" record (the plan).
  2. Find the section for "Drill History" (or similarly named, e.g., "Drills") and select "Log New" (or similar button).

Key Information for Your Drill Log

  • Drill Instance Details:
    • Drill Date: The date the drill was actually conducted.
    • Next Drill: If applicable, the date for the next instance of this drill.
    • Comments: Record specific observations, outcomes, or issues from this particular drill instance.
  • Attachments: Attach files specific to this instance, such as attendance records or photos.
  • Associated Actions: Link or create actions arising directly from this drill instance (e.g., "Repair faulty alarm identified during drill").

Workflow for Drill Logs

  • Save (Draft): Saves the log in a Draft state if you need to complete it later.
  • Submit (to "Complete"): Finalizes the log, moving it to the Complete state.

Completed logs are listed within their parent "Drills & Exercises" record, providing a history of occurrences.
