VOC Integration with Training Records
Explains how completed Verification of Competency records can be linked to the Training Management module.
Linking VOCs to Training Records
A key benefit of the VOC module is its ability to integrate with Training Management. When an individual is assessed as 'Competent', this achievement can be formally logged by linking the VOC to a Training Record.
How the Integration Works:
- 'Competent' Assessment: After an assessor marks the Assessment Decision as 'Competent' on the VOC form, the option to link to a Training Record typically becomes available.
- Linking or Creating a Training Record: In the 'Training Record' section of the VOC form:
- Link to Existing: Use the 'Select' option to find and link to an existing Training Record if one already exists for the person and the competency.
- Log New: If no suitable Training Record exists, choose 'Log New' (or similar) to create a new Training Record directly. This will open a new Training Record form, which may pre-fill some information from the VOC.
- Complete the new Training Record with all necessary details, such as Completion Date (often the VOC date) and any renewal/expiry dates. (See "Creating and Managing Training Records" for full details).

- Centralized Competency View: Ensures an employee's Training Record accurately reflects all verified competencies.
- Evidence of Competency: The VOC serves as detailed evidence supporting the Training Record.
- Streamlined Process: Reduces manual data entry by creating or updating Training Records within the VOC workflow.

Important Notes:
- The 'Training Record' link on the VOC form is specifically configured to connect to your Training Records module.
- This linking section may only appear or be active on the VOC form if the Assessment Decision is 'Competent'.
