Configuring Training Matrix Display Options
Details on customizing the Training Matrix view using the Filter, Display, Compliance, and Hierarchy tabs.
The Filter icon provides access to several tabs (Filter, Display, Compliance, Hierarchy) allowing customization of the data and layout shown in the Training Matrix.
Filter Tab Options
-
Competency: Filter the matrix to show only selected competencies.
-
Manager: Filter the matrix to show only users reporting to selected managers.
-
Show All Reports: When a manager is selected, this option displays all users reporting to that manager (otherwise, only users meeting default criteria appear).
-
Show Desirable Competencies / Show All Completed Competencies: (See 'Using Training Matrix Filters').
Display Tab Options
-
Competency Groups: Group competencies by their assigned Competency Group. Ungrouped competencies appear under a separate heading.
-
Show Gridlines: Display vertical gridlines at a specified frequency (e.g., every 5 competencies).
-
Angle Competency Names: Toggle vertical/angled display of competency names in column headers.
-
Show Dates: Display specific dates below the status icon (e.g., Completed on, Expires on, Scheduled on).
-
Expiration limit (days): Set the number of days prior to expiry for the 'About to Expire' status (default 30).
Compliance Tab Options
-
Overall Percentage of Compliance: Based on all users in the current view, displayed in the top left corner.
-
Percentage of Compliance for Individuals: Based on how many Mandatory competencies the user has completed. Displayed next to the user's name.
-
Percentage of Compliance for Competencies: Based on the percentage of users (in the current view) who have the competency set as Mandatory and have a Completed Training Record for it.
-
Percentage of Compliance for Competency Groups: Displays compliance for all competencies within the selected Competency Group.
Hierarchy Tab Options
-
Hierarchy Types: Select specific hierarchy levels (e.g., Site, Department) to filter the records shown.
-
Ignore Hierarchy Filter Against Occupational Requirements: If selected, this ignores the hierarchy specified within an Occupation Requirement. Example: If a requirement is 'Crane Operator in Brisbane', selecting this option would show all users with Occupation 'Crane Operator', regardless of their assigned hierarchy, and make the Crane Operator competency mandatory for all of them in the matrix view.
Additional Column Display (Cog Icon)
The cog icon allows adding extra columns to the matrix report, such as the user's Manager or specific Hierarchy Types.
