Training Matrix Overview and Access
Introduction to the Training Matrix module, its purpose, availability, and how to access it.
The Training Matrix is available if you have the Training Records module in your system. It provides a visual representation of training compliance based on defined requirements.
Accessing the Training Matrix
The Training Matrix can be accessed in two ways:
- As a distinct module in the main navigation panel on the left.
- Via an icon on the main toolbar within the Training Records module list.
Prerequisites
To use the Training Matrix effectively, it is important to ensure that the Training Management setup (Competencies, Occupation Requirements, Competency Groups) is completed first. Refer to 'Setting up Training Management for Training Matrix' for details.
Understanding Access and Permissions
Access to view the Training Matrix and its data is controlled by specific user permissions.
- Permission Required: A user's group must be assigned the "Training Management > Read" permission.
- Viewing Data: Users may be able to see the link or module for the Training Matrix, but if their user group does not have the required permission, the matrix will not display any data.
- Requesting Access: If you require access for a specific user group, please contact the support desk to have the necessary permissions enabled.
